    The wires on the back of the key switch with the molded push on connectors will break inside the plastic coating as it goes into molded piece. It sounds as if you have lost power to the switch which would be the connector marked "B" Red/purple striped wire. a broken wire in a connector may show voltage when using a meter but when a load is applied it will not.

    I have also had this kind of plug have corrosion and not make good contact, you could clean it and make sure that it clips on tight. Back in the 80's we had this kind of a plug on primary wires on ignition coils, they would just start not making contact when brand new, we had to pinch the plug and get a good tight contact. It doesn't take much for one to not work.

    Whelp, new neutral safety switch did nothing for it. ugh
