Wait I think I did hear it. I thought the cat was beating against the bedroom door and the dog started barking. I rember hearing a strange noise. Didn’t feel it.

Yes I felt a little vibration and even thought to myself could that have be a earthquake.
According to the USGS map, none of us who have confirmed we heard or felt it, should have!

We've felt many over the years, but this was the biggest.

Just came off the water down here in eastern part of the state. I didn't feel it but the fish were sure biting.
Felt it in Asheville. Strongest N.C. quake since 1916. House shook for a few seconds.

I felt it good here in Johnson City TN. Was on the computer and the screen started shaking and stuff was rattleing on the refrigerator.
I felt it when it happened down in SC also.
Parents are at mountain house 7 miles south from Sparta on the Blueridge Parkway. It scared the crap out of them.
Said they had never experienced that before. Shook the whole house to the point they thought one of the military jets that fly over had crashed.
Pictures fell off of walls. Loud rumbling noise. Thankfully no structural damage found yet and they are okay.
Waiting for the aftershocks.
As soon as my phone pinged for mom's text, I heard some rattling here in Concord, didn't think too much of it at the time. Only heard it, did not really feel it.
Reported earlier that it shook a helicopter out of the sky. Stay safe.
