Where are guys placing these? Can you secure them somehow so when disconnected the hoses don’t flop around? Any photos of these in use??

Look for a Quick Connect Hydraulic Bulkhead fitting. Put those on your hoses. Personally I would get them put on professionally by a Hydraulic shop if you are using the new style hoses.
