First rule of owning a boat: It's an "IT", not a "HER".

HER's always cost more money than IT's.

“IT” got 3 hours on the motor this morning. The Yamaha is really quiet. Ride was on par with my Stratos, a little better in boat wakes but that might just be because of the extra length. I hit 70.7 at 6000 RPM’s with the 25p T2 prop that’s on it. It was empty with 2 people and 3/4 tank of gas.

Well I guess its official now that the name change has been done. I put a few more hours on it and added some tackle and a few rods. It really slowed down more than i was expecting. Two big 300 lb guys and my son he is about 200. 3/4 tank of gas and the tackle and we hit 66 was all i could get out of it. I did check the oil when I got back home and it was about 4 inches above full. The boat place said to bring it back and they drained the oil and filled her back up. next time out he said to run it WOT for at least 5 minutes at a time back and go fishing. Then hit it again. Maybe the rings will seat soon. I was hoping this boat would run low 70's loaded but I am not sure that is going to be the case. Maybe some more seat time will help to figure out where the trim needs to be to maximize performance.

Do you have a hydraulic plate or manual? Is that speed without poles? I could be wrong, but I would expect that to run high 60s loaded with poles.

Flash the ECU and you will be right where you want to be speed wise.

Also remember, they go slower in the heat, the water is dense in the winter
and you get better push in the cold water. And take it from a fellow fat man
You had it loaded down. Best speed I got was 73 that was with just me in it
No tackle and a near full tank and that was late February on a nearly flat lake.

I did get the attention of the Lake Patrol who came to check out my boat.

Hope you get to fish a lot! Enjoy, I have enjoyed mine!

No poles. Manual plate. Maybe after year 6 on the ECU that’s when the warranty runs out lol.
