If you've ever had squab in a high class restaurant you've had pigeon.

Yep, squab. I was dove hunting out in the country once and the pigeons started flying. Got as many as I could. Not bad at all.

Pigeons are FILTHY! We used a few for flyers while training retrievers, the absolute nastiest birds I’ve ever handled.

Back in the day (colonial times) they used to make pigeon nesting boxes. After the eggs hatched and before they could fly off they would tie a string to their leg so they couldn't leave the nest. They always had pigeon to eat.

Well I always viewed a pigeon as a large dove until my buddy trapped a few and kept them in a coop for a while. They were so nasty, crapped in the food, in the water, in everything! Ducks, quail, pheasants and chukar are all very clean compared to pigeons.

    How much chicken you eat?

we used to shoot pigeons while dove hunting when I was a kid. They ate just fine

Then you've ever had chickens. I raise Homer pigeons for the bird dog. Much, much cleaner than chickens.

My youngest and a few friends set up mojos and ground decoys and have a blast....One place they shoot is a big seed cleaning plant and the owner pays them 2.50 a bird. UPS brings shotgun shells by the case lol.

Lol all birds do that. I assume you have never had chickens. They do the exact same thing you mentioned and I’m sure you eat a lot of chicken.

Where are they that has that many pigeons? We don’t have that many here, just a few. We used to go climb up in old wooden tobacco barns at night and club them with sticks, them and wood peckers too. The farmers didn’t want them roosting in the barns because they would crap on the tobacco during burning season

I shot a LOT of ammo at doves. Had a blast, and yes, they eat well.
If you got lots of money, go to So. America, and shoot. You'll need more than one gun, as they get too hot to handle.
