which cable to hook up mega 360 to helix 12 or network switch?

Recently purchased a mega 360 unit, and am trying to hook to a helix 12 g3 at bow, or to the ethernet switch at console. Do I need a "Y" cable at the front unit, and which one, or do I connect to the switch box This would also require a adapter cable to go from 8 pin doghouse plug, to round 8 pin. Help with the correct way to install and cable #s would be appreciated.

The MEGA 360 connects to the transducer port of a DI+ or SI+ model.
What model Helix 12 G3N do you have and what transducer do you have for it and where is it?

You need the 9 M360 2DDI Y cable. Plug the MEGA 360 into the 14-pin female plug, the SI transducer into the 7-pin female plug and the 7-pin male plug into the display.

AND you need the MEGA 360 software 2.180 or higher installed in the unit.

Wayne , are you sure the cable # is correct, my ducer has a 7 pin male , the 360 came with a 14 round female to a 7 pin male, and the unit has a 7 pin female.

No, I am positive. I know what your transducer plugs are, I just described the Y cable plugs that match them.

You don't use either of the two 10' cables that come with MEGA 360.

I have two 9 M360 2DDI Y cables, they are the same. One of them is on my boat connected to a MEGA 360 and Humminbird MEGA DI+ transducer.

The cable you are describing and shown on some dealer's and Humminbird's web site does not exist.
