Thanks for the info Gene. Monday would be fine as I can't do anything with it until then.

Just FYI...I measured thrust bushing part# 0126869 this morning and it is 3/4" thick overall, and the part that sits on top of the hub is 1/2" thick.

I did some digging in the shop and came across a Renegade and I had a 0126869 in the tool box, perfect fit.

Almost sounds as though your trust washer is for a pre 1991 LU when the prop shafts wee a tad bit smaller in dia.

You ask about thickness so .990 on the thrust washer. This picture is in the order the hardware goes on. The only thing missing is a cavitation ring. If you experience blowout on hole shot you will needed a cavitation ring. A few set-ups can get buy without one but most bass boats will benefit from using one. The link I posted in reply #15 is a plastic cavitation ring. It will work but I highly suggest one made of a more durable material. If you need a cavitation ring call the number on the link I am going to provide and tell them you need a cavitation ring for a Johnson/Evinrude Renegade Bass prop...http://www.marksprops.com/products.php
The spacer is .475

Thanks Gene. My setup also has a washer between the spacer and the nut...is that not needed? If that's the case, then my setup may work.

The 128777 is the newest design with an added lip on the back to prevent fishing line build up to save the Carrier seals. Yours shouldn't have that and should be flat.
So to add to Gene's post your install should be thrust washer, prop, prop washer nut and castle nut.
Thanks Cman. I was going to ask about that. The thrust washer he shows is thicker than the 126869 by about .24". I don't see how that will be any better as I can't get the cotter key in now with what I have. I will try to post some pics later today.

Take the second washer on the outside off.

Let me check...I think my renegade washer is flatter than that???? BRB.
I was wrong......74 looks right....I would turn down the out side washer to just more than the spline left sticking out of the prop.....no washer the nut can't torque and the prop would be loose....
Wait !! Is that a second washer on top or is that the way the outside washer is made?
Michael, all he needs to do is remove the second flat washer and the nut will tighten against the the spline washer the way it was designed.
