Buggs island conditions for high school tournament

I am a boat captain for my local high school fishing team. The 2 boys that fish with me qualified for the state tournament Aug 15 & 16 th. I have not fished there in the summer for over 20 years and am sure all this rain probably will not help. Can anyone give me an update on the water conditions and how the lake is fishing?

Water temp about 85-89. Clear water around the mid lake area on Wednesday. Didn’t fish much but saw a lot of bait out on main lake points. Water level about 301 (1 foot over).

Fished a small tournament there yesterday, 5 out of 9 boats no fish. I think they are playing with the water level almost daily and it is making it tough. I believe the ones that did catch a few were carolina rigging in 15 feet of water. Don't know where they fished, I fished Nutbush all the way up to County Line. Take care, John

I fished the Hibernia to North Bend area Sunday. Water was clear and up just enough to have some flooded cover.
