Tractor or zero turn. If zero turn I would look at a hustler raptor or ariens IkonXD. Both come in a 42 or 48”. The 42” can be had for just a hair over 3k. Of the three you listed I would go with a Deere. My dad used to sell cub cadet and husquvarna and there not what they used to be.

Sure I got the lemon but 2.5 years and 3 transmissions was enough for me to say Husqvarna bought in 2016 from big box store sucks! Husqvarna dealer who replaced transmission said would not last due to plastic gears inside. Toro zero turn for me now but I cut almost 4 acres.

I've got a Craftsman YT3000 46" that's roughly 9 years old. Camshaft crapped out within a few months - tech rebuilt the engine in my driveway (under warranty) and it's ran great ever since.
It is NOT smooth - vibrates quite a bit which makes it uncomfortable on the feet. It's undersized for the nearly 3 acres I mow, and I punish it by towing an offset Swisher 60" finish mower besides. But it keeps on cutting so I can't complain for the price of it.
Used ones (and similar brands like it) can be bought on FB and CL in good shape for under $700, which makes them "almost" disposable if you can get 5 - 8 years out of them.

Highly recommend zero turn and John Deere. My yard is 2 acres and not hardly a smooth spot in it. Myself and family have never owned anything but John Deere and they all hold up for what seems forever. Have dealers in about every town for parts. Do the oil and filter changes every 50 hours or whatever manual recommends. Easy to get to everything for parts replacement and belt changes. Kawasaki engines seem bulletproof and don't use a drop of oil.

None of the above...look at Ariens Ikon XD 52 I bought one and absolutely love it. Top of the line residential mower and entry level commercial. Ariens builds Gravely.

Had one Cub Cadet, never again.

I've had my John Deere Z445 48" for six years. All I've had to do is replace one battery at the five year mark + PM each winter.

Best advice if you want a Garden Tractor if you are only cutting grass I would buy a ZTR ( Exmark, Scag, Grasshopper, Hustler ) Buy from reputable dealer if new.
My G1900 back up to my ZTR attached

As ChampioNman said, the E series mowers are made by John Deere in a JD factory in Tennessee. Models are exactly the same whether they go to a big box, JD dealer, or other lawn and garden stores.

Here's an informative article that covers all the bases, including a good discussion on each 100 series mower and the mowing application they're best suited for. It was written in 2017 so the models reviewed are D100 series which were replaced by the current E100 series. However, they're basically the same.

I've had an E140 Deere for two years now 48" 3 blade, hydrostatic drive from Lowe's all of those have been set up and approved by Ag-Pro. I mow 2.5 acres and works great! I had a D105 JD manual shift worked great and mowed 2.5 Acres no issues. Had an MTD before that and was junk.
Thank you kind sir...saved me the typing.

    Not the Deere name.
