    Toledo Bend in mid October

Hey guys, just looking for a little insight on fishing Toledo Bend this fall. Our Missouri club is coming down for 5-6 days the 3rd week of October. None of us have any previous trips there, so we would like to know about fishing there at that time. We know its a huge lake(we fish Kentucky Lake a lot) and all have 20-21' boats. Any info would be helpful. Thx much.

Fish it like Kentucky lake. The bend usually has a good deep bite all year. Plenty of ridges and structure, or you can choose to fish far north and shallow. North end can get very stained, south end generally stay's clear.

But its a huge lake like 80 miles long. Better to pick an area and try to learn that area. You generally only run in the marked boat lanes with a few exceptions.

And who knows where the water level will be that time of year.

Thanks for the info. Btw I'm a retired football coach and remember how good Katy,Texas was in football. Are they still a powerhouse? My college roommate was a coach and AD at another excellent football program down there, Lake Travis.
