Mega 360 drawing lots of amps and dropping voltage.

I just got back from an early morning fishing trip at Guntersville. I finally got the 360 dialed in and was getting some great images of stumps in a creek with fish.
Then I noticed that just turning on the switch to the Mega 360 transducer that the battery went from 11.9 volts to 11. 5 volts.
Then it went down to 11.2. That can’t be good. I have brand a new Gel cranking battery group 33 that I run my accessories with. Is there any other solution than a Lithium battery?

Explain "lots of amps" when the fuse size is 1A and operating amps is about .6A.

There are several state of charge tables available on-line.
You have battery issues since 12.05V is considered 50% state of charge for an AGM.
11.5V is 10% state if charge

If you’re starting at 11.9, you have issues already.

Batteries shot, those voltages are way too low.

Where are you checking the voltage? At the battery or on the unit? How is it wired? I had the same issue using my boat wiring And had 0.6-0.7v drop. I ran new 10ga to the bow and console and now I have 0.1v drop between the battery and my units.

You are correct about the amps. I am going to put a slow long charge on the Gel battery and if that doesn’t work, I will take it back under warranty. Just a hassle to have to pull the boat out of the boathouse and trailer it.

Might check your charger and see if it's set for AGM batteries. My new on board charger was set for default Lead Acid batteries.
