    Anita Aug 4

    Water really stained up. A month ago 4-5’ visibility, yesterday 2’. Lot of grass on the bottom, pads have taken over most the shallow areas. Wasn’t the best day we have had, every legal fish we caught was skinny. 19” just under 3 lbs. Couldn’t buy a frog bite, they didn’t like a fluke, I flipped a jig until my arm fell off. Started catching them on trick worms. Beautiful day on the water, bite could have been better.

    Hey thank you so much for posting your results. Did you try a spinner bait/chatter bait? I haven’t been there in four or five weeks thinking about trying to get there again really soon. I have missed the last too weekends fishing in Iowa because I was on a family vacation to the Ozarks so I’m ready to get back after it. Boy we have had some really nice weather lately!! Not sure I’m ready for it to cool down yet Lol I think it will warm up again Soon though.

    I didn’t throw a spinnerbait or a chatter bait. I did catch a few on a Bandit but the grass would foul it.
