Lightbulb ***New Updates as of July 30......

I see there are new updates up on the website.

    Appears nothing for the Livescope.

Do see where we now can have duplicate names for waypoints.....

Jeremy, even though it didn’t do anything for Livescope it did say that it improved the side image/clearvu.

Great news on waypoints, now it is easier decision to change to all Garmin. How does Garmin mapping compare to Lowrance/Navionics? I am not running cmap, I have HD’s gen2 touch units

I'm confused. I got this update link from my Garmin CS Contact to go out and test it to see if it would help with the issues that I'm having with my Livescope. This update is for the unit only and does not update the black box for the Livescope or as far as I can tell have anything to do with Livescope. What is going on with Garmin?

If they label a way point “hump 20 ft” and I have 50 of them labeled the same I do not care. If I have to create a different name for all 50 of them I care, that wastes time. I drop allot of way points and have names and symbols I use over and over again on my Lowrance units, it just works for me and I hate change :).

DonnieG, I looked at the latest update for the echomap+ 93SV and saw no reference to side image or clearvu. Is it hidden in one of the other statements? This was the July 30th update I was looking at.

You are correct! I just heard this from my Garmin contact when I asked him this question. But now I ask how can an update to the control unit affect the returns that you are getting from the Livescope transducer and black box which were not updated with this latest software?

I guess the only way to find out is to go out and test it! I've installed this update but the next 2 days here look stormy.

    Its for UHD.
My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.

If you fish more than one point its ideal to not have to name them all point1 point 2 etc.

I read that the update adds a third choice on the on screen LS adjustments. Now have "Depth" in addition to gain and forward distance. Can anyone confirm? Been begging for that for awhile!

Yes, now 3 onscreen adjustments for LS! Love this addition, as well as allowing duplicate wpt names.
