Waypoint copies

I've noticed that my EchoMAP CHIRP 9 units are producing multiple copies of the same waypoint. This is probably due to my reloading the user data from my backups? In some cases, I have up to 7 copies of the same waypoint.

Is there an easier way of deleting the spare waypoints than manually deleting each one? I think I need to be more careful when I merge data from my card to the unit. Anyone here have a proven method on handling data?

At one time i did it with Garmin's Homeport program on the PC. Can be time consuming but better sitting in the house with a PC vs in the boat doing one at a time.
