    Starting battery requirements

    J225STLEDE

Currently running a 31 series lead acid for a starting battery but due for an upgrade.

Will this lithium work? Or should I stay old school. I hate to mess up any electronics/ignition components or create problems. It would be nice to shed 50lbs though.

You can use what ever battery you choose, the charging system on that engine was designed to charge lead acid batteries.
