    Dale Hollow guide

I used Keith Palmiero one day several years back. He was awesome, he really flattened the learning curve and made the week about fishing and not finding. I am planning on heading back in the second week of November and want to hire someone again for the first day. Is Keith not around any longer? If he isn’t, who do y’all recommend to help me out? I am not looking for spots as much as I am ideas of what to look for and what to do that time of year. Really looking for a teacher, not someone to just take me fishing.

I heard Keith is gone. Definitely Bobby.

Unless you just want to troll and catch fish, then Dale Hollow Dave, you will catch nice fish but bring ear plugs because he is a huge know it all and talks all day about politics.

Can’t say enough good things about Bobby Gentry. My dad was a center hill regular for decades and finally started going to Dale hollow. Booked him with Bobby as a birthday present and Bobby was able to quickly get him and my mom on good smallies while working with their respective knowledge levels. He was able to present the information to my dad and really key him in properly to the intricate differences from Center Hill. This allowed my dad to take what he learned and run with it. Additionally, he doesn’t really fish tournaments anymore from what I understand. Ergo he very much doesn’t keep spots “private” and has no qualms pointing out particular spots (not general areas) and their associated baits/techniques. Good fellow. We may try to get back out with him on both DH and CH this winter for a dual lake FNF weekend, if COVID situation wanes.
