I believe my gas primer bulb is starting to go bad. Once I have fished a bank for an hour or so my boat will fire right up, but die as I try to take off. Kind of like it floods. When I check the primer bulb it seems to be soft. Question is which primer bulb do I need to purchase to replace it? I'm sure its the original.

Once fuel starts to flow through the primer bulb then any pressure inside Is relieved so no firmness is normal.
what happens to take off power once you have reprimed the bulb?

After the engine has been run the primer bulb will require one full pump and one half pump to completely fill it again.

What ever you buy do yourself a favor and buy a quality part, a cheap part here could cost you a rebuild.

I does seem to help. I decided to buy one just don't know if I need 5/16 or 3/8.
