was it a federal courthouse ?
Looked like a compressed gas explosion.
the pics I seen of the city looks like NYC after 9/11
wonder what happened to the 2 guys in the 1st video, on a hotel balcony, filming the fire with their cell phones, before the huge explosion. It did not show it in the video.. I'm pretty sure that huge explosion took them out!
Just watched the video, absolutely incredible and terrifying. I doubt they have any idea of actual fatalities. The shock wave was really mind blowing.
There was a ship in the harbor that was loaded with ammonium nitrate. The cargo confiscated, removed and stored in a large warehouse by the pier. That stuff does not store well. A fireworks warehouse caught on fire next to that warehouse and the the nitrate exploded.

Nitrate (basically made from cow or chicken chit) that Hezbollah imports to make IEDs. Was only a matter of time.

Twitter. I'll follow a good source that I find and will unfollow them if they either go off the rails or post too many opinions. I just want facts.
I started following Steve Lookner for the fire on the Navy ship in San Diego as he had the best vids and most up to date info I could find. He had the 1st retweets on this from a guy named David Daoud. David was quoting a Lebanese chat group that had a member say her husband worked security down there and spilled the beans.

Thanks for the info. But I don’t do twitter or fakebook. But thanks for the good info.
Thanos was the hero
Thanos was the hero
I have seen reports of 2700 tons of ammonium nitrate that has been sitting in a warehouse for 6 years now that was confiscated at the port.

Not to smart to have that much ammonium nitrate sitting around. Going to b a Lot more dead.
Wow, unreal power..gives me chills watching it, so sad for all those innocent people. Pres said generals told him it was an attack?? Lebanon says stored ammonium nitrate ?? Maybe some bad guys knew where it was stored and both scenarios are true?
Ammonium Nitrate + 6% diesel fuel = ANFO one of the most effective high explosives you can get.
Do you remember the Mythbusters cement truck explosion?
That was just 500lb ANFO.
This explosion in Beirut was reportedly from 2750 tons of ammonium nitrate that had been confiscated from a ship in the port some time ago.
Thats 2750 metric tonnes = 6062712 lb
I do indeed remember the cement truck episode. Ohhh how I miss that show. The cement truck basically just went away. It was here one minute and gone the next.
Something im curious about is why were they storing that much Ammonium Nitrate since 2014 which was supposedly confiscated.
That's what the first explosion looked like in "83". But it did not look that bad.
