Tilt & Trim Rebuild & Rebuilder

The tilt & trim on my 1996 Evinrude Intruder leaks down. I have an option to purchase a used unit with a 90 day warranty from a local service shop for roughly $800. Recently had a friend told me about a rebuilder in Port Richey Florida by the name of Five Star Marine. The rebuild cost is aproximately $500. I will still need to remove the unit and reinstall the unit after it is rebuilt. Question, has anyone had experience with Five Star Marine? If you had to make the repair which option would you lean toward?

I had a tilt/trim done by Five Star Marine last year. I was very happy with their service, it was fast and comes with a two year warranty. I think it is about a 14 day turn around from Eastern Montana

I just met an older guy up here in Spooner that's been an Evinrude guy for 20+ years and has a bunch of parts laying around. Picked up some tilt and trim parts myself yesterday. Shoot me a pm and I'll give you his contact info. Might be a ton cheaper
