    New Jackson Bite Angler Kayak

Have had a sit in fishing model by Future Beach for 3 years I purchased at Dick’s.
I had rented a Jackson when we were last in Arkansas on the King’s River.
Sitting in the lawn chair was so comfortable and the kayak was so steady.
I did roll it once when I hung on the end of a small tree and reached for the bottom with the paddle only to realize it looked closer than it was and rolled right over.
Came home and fished twice in the FB and couldn’t keep from thinking about the Jackson.
So I broke down and bought my own birthday present and picked it up last week.
Can’t wait to get it on the water this Thursday and hook some large smallies in the Illinois River here.
All top water last week was so much fun.
Time to reload and do it again.

But I just happened to drop in and check. Talked a bit to the guys. Finally he says “I called two guys on this one and neither has replied. You are here so it is yours”. Pays to hang around the shop a little and get to know them!

So true. I probably paid the light bill at Hook1, who I consider a pillar in the kayak community and they out of the blue shut down 7/31. I’ve been lost without them.

Sorry to hear that. It is hard to replace good people at a good shop you can depend on to help you when you need it and keep you from buying stuff you don’t need.

I do love my new Jackson Bite Kayak.
Sit on top chair is a dream.
    Boat is stable.
I put some Smallies slime on it.
Cool night on a river in Oklahoma in August was a miracle!

Just googled that boat. $800.00 is a killer deal for a Jackson yak. I think if it had been available when I bought my Mayfly I’d have saved a bunch of money and bought the Bite.

    Enjoy and have fun
