    Hooking LGC3000 to Lowrance LCX113HD

I bought a LCX113HD basically just for navigation. The seller failed to mention that I would need extra wiring to hook the LGC3000 to the LCX unit......

So is there an adapter cable to do this or will I have to guy the nmea kit?

    Thanks

Those old cables that have a NMEA pigtail are non-exixtant. Really, your only choice is a NMEA starter kit. It contains everything you would need to connect the LCX with and LGC with the possible exception of one T connector.

    is the nmea connection mandatory?

The seller seems to think that the 2 ft extension cable (straight cable without the nmea connection) and a T are all I need?
