Trim gage for 2001 MV 175 PRO w Yamaha 70 HP.

My trim gage is acting up. It either doesn't read, the needle moves up and down while clicking, or it settles down and works for a couple minutes then the needle goes all the way to the top and it stops working.
Not sure what is wrong but would like to replace parts since they are not that expensive.
I want to get a new sending unit (Yamaha part) and a new trim gage but do not know what kind of gage to get. Is it a G3 part, Yamaha part, or aftermarket part.
Would like to keep all gages on dash the same.
    Anyone have any thoughts?
    Thanks

Its most likely the trim sensor on the motor, they tend to go bad.

Keep the gauge, it's good. Buy a new sending unit from a Yamaha dealer or possibly an online line site like "BOATS.NET". BOATS.NET is a reliable source.
