    Twain Report

Twain was up 1 1/2 feet since last weekend but the water was still pretty clear. We had water temps from 78 in the morning to 82 in the afternoon.
45 boats in the Joe Bass Tournament. 1st place was 16.08 lbs and was anchored by a 5.51 dandy. 2nd place had 15+ lbs. I was a bit worried going into this one because our club tournament only took 4 lbs to win on Saturday.

We caught all of our fish on main lake points using black/blue colors and heavier shakeyhead weights. Didn't catch many short fish. We caught the right fish

Anything more you can share for some recreational fish this coming weekend?

    Congratulations Tom.
That's almost the same weight we had in June, 5 fish and our kicker was 6.25lbs.
    Colors and locations very similar,

Thanks All. It was definitely a good day for us. And to see some really good fishermen come in with 1 or 2 fish makes it even more special.

Find some humps or long points and hit them with big weights to keep bait down. That was our pattern. I went to the backs of some creeks on Saturday and never had a bite. I thought with the rain there would be some water flowing in.

I've been fishing this lake since the late 80's. This lake will make you scratch your head every time you fish it. We just hit the right areas at the right times.
