    My Polaris Ranger was stolen

Luckily, I had a tracker on it. GPS coordinates led deputies right to it. The criminals had discovered the tracker and trashed it but it was too late. Of course no one at the house knew anything. I suppose Polaris Rangers just drop from the sky mysteriously. I hate thieves.

Seems to follow the drug of the week whatever they are on.
They got into my neighbors garage, and he lost tools, power washers etc...
Last week a 4 wheeler went missing in the village.....
Half the time its punks that will only get a slap on the wrist as well, and that makes me furious.

It was the Brickhouse Livewire 4G. I didn’t hide it well enough. It will be hidden better this time.

Looks good , if you didn’t have to pay monthly fee for service.

My buddy has a couple of farms and patches of acreage. He kept getting his trucks, cars and implements stolen. He even had a 1966 Mustang fastback stolen. He got to the car crusher just as it flattened out the top of his 1961 Cadillac and got the remains back. Druggies were taking the stuff to scrap yards and getting scrap prices for it. He caught them and made them dance with his Sam Brown waiting for the Law to arrive. They got misdemeanor charges he got felonies and spent several months in jail.

There is a monthly fee but it’s worth it to me.

I'm interested in what tracker you had too. I googled and looks you can get some that do not have a monthly fee. I would want one that would wire into the battery, but would be concerned it would run an ATV battery down over time.

It will potentially run the battery down but as long as you start and drive it every few weeks it will be fine.

Anyway of putting a not so hard to find fake on there so they won't go looking for the real one?

Personally I would be thinking about who all you have told that you have tracking devices on your vehicles. I looked up the item and there is nothing that screams "IM A TRACKING DEVICE" when I look at it. It looks like any other module you find on modern vehicles.

Criminals are typically not that smart and I find it hard to believe they stole a side by side and immediately knew to search it for tracking devices without knowing prior.

Any hunting or fishing gear stolen should be an automatic felony, no matter the value. Sentence doubles if LE receives no cooperation in relation to other crimes. Mandatory jail time.

I'd be more interested in a tracker that would tell me when it's moving at more than 10mph and then let me pin the throttle wide open.
