    Fortrex DIY fix

Is this a DIY fix. It’s the ears that hold the motor down once it’s deployed. E49E7121-A48E-4630-BC6D-72201391B934.jpeg

Push the old one out as you putting the new one in.

They bust off like its going out of style...hard to find a fortrex with both still on. I know on the ultrex they replaced em with what appears to be stainless steel instead of cast AL

They are not cast aluminum, they are harden plastic. If the mount is on the boat correctly then it will line up and never break unless it is forced to go down in the deployed position. The Ultrex latch was beef up because of the excess weight that it has when it is being deployed. The Steering motor assembly adds the extra weight.
If you are breaking them on a regular base then you have a mount issue.

No one seemed to want to answer your question.

YES, it's a DIY fix. Order the latch bar on line or get one from your local ASC if you have one. Pop the old one out. Pop the new one in.

    5 minute job.
