    2002 Optimax 225hp info

Going to look at a boat with a Mercury 225hp Optimax on it. I'm trying to do some research on the motor but I thought I'd post up here to also see what additional info or thoughts I could get on this motor. Anything I should know about it or anything to look for? Thanks in advance.

See if you can get the seller to provide you with the engine serial number. Makes getting information for the engine MUCH easier (and we do ask that it be provided when posting).

Moved your post to the correct forum for you- no problem whatsoever.
