Great ladder but not to replace others just in addition , I find it very heavy but so useful it's worth it's weight in gold trying to paint over stairs ect.

This. I bought ours for using on the stairs. It works great for that.

I have the aluminum multi-purpose ladder. Similar to the giant; folds about 8 different ways. Best investment I ever made. I've used it as step ladder, scaffold, straight ladder, and on stairs. I think mine is about 21 years old...still sturdy as the day I bought it.

My thought as well. Great ladder but make your adjustments carefully or you could break or lose a finger very easy.
I don’t let my girlfriend mess with it. She has the Werner version so maybe a little heavier.
It goes to 20’ as an extension ladder.
I bought a smaller one at Harbor Freight whatever there brand is.
    They are handy.

Great ladders IMO. I have 2, the bigger one for mainly home use and a medium size one which does double duty for home and camper. The bigger one is a bit heavy but both have proven very useful.

I've never had the one I have pinch or bite a finger but my shins are usually bruised up after I use it because it's heavy and awkward to carry.

That’s why I like an extension ladder, just pull the rope to extend. And a regular 6 or 8 foot step ladder are lightweight, sturdy, easy to set up , take down & transport.

Had a Werner version of the LG, sold it, never looked back.

Had one for 30 years . Great to fit in a van or back of truck. Kind of heavy but very useful and way more stable than a 6ft step ladder
