2020 225 SHO - RPM Spike Startup

Hi Guys. New Yamaha SHO owner here. I currently have 15 hours on my new engine. I recently noticed that when I start the engine there is a quick spike in RPM's almost like a brief surge. RPMS shoot up to 2400 and before settle back down to 700.

Is this normal? It just started doing this.

I have had 2, both 250s, neither did that. Hopefully yam911 will chime in.

Same motor. No RPM surge at start up. Hope you figure it out ... prob nothing serious tho'

Are you running A lithium cranking battery?

Are you able to video what it’s doing?

I am running a Agm battery.

I do have a video but not sure how to upload it.

I made an appointment to bring it in to the dealer.
