    1985 champion

Love this forum! Just got this 1985 champion from a friend. Its been sitting in a barn for about 12 years, im trying to find more info on what the actual model is. Its 20ft long, dual console, 200 mercury on the back. Also cushion benches in front of the consoles.

That a aftermarket cone. It's doing you no favors at all.

any thoughts on the actual model? also anything i should be looking at because it has been sitting for so long? so far i have emptied the old gas that was left in the tank, we changed the lower gear oil (it looked brand new when we emptied it). im planing on a new impeller and probably need to clean the carbs.

Somebody probably stuck a plate on there. I could be wrong but I've never seen a 235 rated hull.

Nice pick up! I am in the middle of restoring a 1885 18'4" champion. i have read that the mid 80's champions are great riding boats. post some updates when you get it cleaned up.

Almost identical to my 184 colors except you’ve got that burgundy hull sphere. You don’t see many of those ... I’m envious.
