Looking for a 7' medium rod for frog fishing which is a better deal for $100 the St Croix Triumph or the Abu Garcia Veritas? I have a 6' light Triumph that I have used for years for trout fishing and it's been a great rod. Never had an Abu Garcia Veritas.
I think you are going to want at least a medium heavy for frogs. A medium is too light in my opinion. I have a 7ft MD hvy St Croix Mojo I might part with if you are interested.
I’d go to the BassX series of rods from St Croix. Imo they are built a little better than the triumphs even though it’s the same blanks. I’d choose a 7’ MH for frogs though. The MH has a nice tip so you’ll get a good walk with them
