What is best bass boat for "bigger" gentleman.

And by bigger, I'll just say fat.

350lb or so......I have a 1995 Bumble Bee and had a step put in to get to the front deck but looking for something a bit more sturdy. I have herd Stratos XL series are good but have never owned other than Bumble Bee so not sure.

I like a big ranger 620 or 621 but I've never had that model , my Sterling works good for me and also added a heavy duty folding aluminum step because my deck is just a little to high of a step for an old fat guy .

Wont be the most popular answer and may be tough to find but my 2000 pro craft 205pro is huge on the inside. Im 6’ 260ish and its almost too far from the drivers seat to the steering wheel. Heavy made, step to the deck is recessed but No where near reduces fishing deck room.

I've always liked the lines of the Bumblebee boats. So elegant.

As for my suggestion, you'd be best off climbing into as many different boats as possible to find the one that fits you best. Also look into hulls that are wider and flatter so they don't deviate as bad when you move around. They won't ride as nice as a hull with a more pronounced V but they'll sure fish good. I know a guy with a Skeeter sx190 and the hull design makes this boat fish insanely well for an owner that's probably over 350. Will beat you to death in rough water though.

5ft 10 in and 290lbs. Dang near as tall laying down as I am standing LOL I'm 65 yrs old and I've had several boats of several brands over the years.

I prefer boats that are 20ft or longer as I've had 18 and 19 ft boats and 20-21 ft boats ride better and are more comfortable to drive.

Based on my past ownership I would suggest looking at Ranger or Skeeter. I've owned both and both offer a bit more comfort than some of the others I've owned. I've got 1998 Skeeter and it suits me fine. If you look at Skeeter I would look at ZX series. The trailer on this series usually has aluminum step pads on fender. I can get in and out with ease. But, I've never really liked fancy fenders on a boat trailer.

Longer and wider boats seem to work best in the "more comfortable" category . My wife says a good diet might be a good idea but......

    Good luck in your pursuit.

Time to go sit in some boats. When I was looking I looked at Triton, Bumblebee, Procraft and the only one I was comfortable with a hot foot was a champion 196 or 206. If you're looking for a new boat maybe check out the Charger 198 or 210. Used check out the Champion 196, 198, 206 or 210

I'm 6'5" used to weigh 350 myself. I have a Phoenix 921 Pro Xp and it is an excellent boat for a bigger fella. Super big and roomy.

Big-un mentioned sturdy. I wonder if that means he is looking for a boat with stronger decks that will hold him better. He doesn't mention being interested in room to move around. FWIW, my 20TRX is just as wide as the 21TRX and only 7" shorter so its just a roomy, IMO, for significantly less.

I'm 6' 4'' and 340 lbs. Bought a 2008 Skeeter ZX225 a couple of years ago and it fits nicely. Only issue was I have long legs and I had to remove the Hot Foot; there was just not enough room for adjustment.

Hard to come by, but Stroker is a big man boat. Boat control with the troller down is very similar to a Bumble Bee. Selling point for me was dancing around on the back deck with very little bow wobble. Cockpit seating is the best I’ve found. Running 90 with two fat guys aboard is icing on the cake.

Newer Ranger boats have a ton of leg room. Many complain its hard to reach the steering wheel.
