1983 168 Super Champ Owner Introduction

Hello Fellow Champ Owners and Enthusiasts!

BLUF: I'm looking for a 1983 168 Super V owner's manual or color wiring diagrams. Please and Thank you!
    PM: Brandon@criticalangling.tech

Years of alterations and neglect are/have been ripped out and new wiring is going in.
Most of the basic stuff is pretty straightforward but the ridiculous bird's nest will be easier to just rip out and start over.

My Father purchased a 1983 168 Super V in the late Eighties and I spent a lot a great Family time on that boat.
He still won't part with it so I had to source one of my own so my Family can recreate some of those same experiences.

She is a rescue of sorts, like most old Champs.

I uploaded four "Before" pictures. There have been some drastic updates since then.
Updated photos on the way soon...

    So far:

Bilge disassembled, cleaned, and Epoxy sealed with Bilge Paint.
New Bilge and Live Well pumps to include wiring and hoses.
    New Batteries and Cables.
I rebuilt the 1982 TNT unit.
    Fresh Control Cables
All deck hinges swapped for Stainless Piano Hinges
Frame built to elevate the entire deck front and rear. HUGE DIFFERENCE in square footage and no ankle twisting 2" gaps everywhere.
Recessed trolling motor foot mount. Seat mounts are now recessed below the fresh padded carpet.
Removed side hand rails, strategically placed a hand rail in board on the passenger side as a Oh, $h1t handle.
And so many other fun tweaks...

Rewired Bedliner-coated trailer with all LED lights, new jack, modern wheels and fresh hubs, etc...
If the uploaded pics are not visible, let me know...

    Thanks and Tight lines!!!

Although the manual I sent you wasn't for an 83 it will help. They are pretty generic. Looking good.

Thank you. What you sent, along with other color diagrams/guides from Google should get me where I need to be.

Nice project! Weird that the trolling motor is on that side...

    During

Yeah, the TM mount on the right side is odd.
There does not appear to be any holes on the left side either, in case it was on there before.
Bonus: It makes boarding from the trailer step on the port side easier.
Straight from the Driver's side of the truck up onto the deck if needed.

There's a lot going on, a lot of progress happens, then nothing for weeks at a time.
Eventually, she will be on the water.

Starboard side TM are dangerous. If you spear a wave and it wipes the TM off it'll come back and hit you in the head. Other than that it's a sweet rig.

Troller on my ‘85 mounted starboard also. 35 years-not an issue. Fyi

Is that a '83 motor? If it is, it's prop rated HP, and that means it's got a lot of potential to scare the crap out of you...
