1989 Cajun Espirit 225 taking on water through rear livewell screen

We have a 1989 Cajun Espirit 225 that is taking on water through the rear livewell screen by the motor. Taking on so much water that the bilge is kicking on every 10-15 minutes. I can hold my hand over this 3-4 inch screen at the bottom rear of the boat. No water will come into the boat. I dont see any water coming into the boat so is there a valve issue in the system or line\connection bad in the back of boat where this screen is located? Cant enjoy ourselves at the lake without worrying about battery and blige not working when we dock our boat. This boat has been garaged kept and maintenance completed when necesary. Runs and looks great. We just need to fix this livewell issue. Appreciate if anybody has a method to track down the fix or schematics.

More than likely a broken livewell fill pump or hose between the pump and the livewell. Bilge diving mission required.
