    Should I try a 25p?

    I have a BassCat Cougar with a 2019 Mercury Pro XS 4 stroke 250.

I was originally running a Fury 3 blade 24P. Even after Ronnie Gilbert worked it, I just wasn't real pleased with it. Hole shot was bad and the boat just felt dead in the water.

At top end during the summer, I could never get past about 6050 RPM. I could hit about 75-76 during the summer if I was lucky, and 78-79 during the winter.

I recently bought a Fury 4 blade 24P, and the boat came alive on the low-mid end. Hole shot and handling was night and day difference.

With 1 full tank and 1 empty tank and all of my normal fishing gear, I topped out at 75.1 mph at exactly 6200 RPM.

My question is - since I'm hitting max RPM now (even in this 100 degree heat), should I consider going to a Fury 4 25P?

I'm not going to lose sleep over 3 mph on the top end, but I admit I'd be thrilled if it were possible to get that top speed back and keep the low end performance.

Yes... But 4 blades are slower 99% of the time. Good luck keeping all of the blades attached.
