Governor's new lake(s) plan?
Any word on this? I would love to see some new large lake or lakes constructed in WV, as long as we can get the DNR to fill them full of bass and not stock musky in them.

First I heard of it, but I’m all for more lakes! WV definitely needs more fisheries. We have a mere handful compared to most States. I’m going to check into these articles. The one said Summersville at 28,000 acres. They put one too many “0”’s . That’s not a good typo to be justifying a case.

Yeah I believe Summersville is only 2,700 acres.

Yeah I think 2700-2750 in the neighborhood anyways. Now if we had about 10 more that size, we’d be cookin’!! And more on the western side of the State!

I think they could dam up the coal river around Whitesville WV and get a lake that big.... That's were I grew up and with the amount of people there now, it could be very possible to build a lake of this size.

That’s where I used to bear hunt. Turn up the hollow by the church and hunt all the way to the head of it. I could see a lake in that area for starters.
