Curious if anyone has ever traded down

I've had a 203 for some time now, but as I get older, I really need to start thinking of a wider hull for a more stable platform at rest. Had a shot at a 210 last year, but the seller made it almost impossible for me to meet up during the week. Being it was several hundred miles away, couldn't make it happen. At some point, I would love to trade my 203 plus a bunch of cash for a 210, but wonder if someone would even consider that feasible? Just wishful thinking on my part???

    You’d probably really like a 198 too.

By that I mean my 203 is 21 yrs old. Any 210 would be a newer boat

I sold my 1998 203 last year when I found a 210. The 203 was a great boat and faster, but the 210 blows it out of the water. The stability of that boat is unmatched.

The only thing I don't want to do is sell first and have nothing while looking for who knows how long. A used 210 within even hundreds of miles are VERY hard to come by in this part of the country. I'm hoping to maybe catch lightning in a bottle finding someone who still wants a Champ, but thinking they want to trade and get some cash in their pocket.

Pretty sure you'll be working with a dealer to make something like that happen. Quick look didn't find any 210's but there's a 198 in New Orleans: https://www.boattrader.com/boat/2006...elite-7355588/

I didn't "trade" down, but I did get rid of a troublesome, expensive wide body champ for a cheaper "skinny" champ.

Have you considered the newer Charger 210 Elite ? I know there are a few fairly new but slightly used ones around here for sale. I will probably see one tomorrow night if he shows up.

Believe me there is nothing I rather have, but at my age it's a big chunk even used. Maybe in a few years, but used now is still a reach.
