It was only a matter of time with all the development, clearing and grading. My wife was born and raised in Cherry Hill and we own a home on Cherry Hill Rd. I have lived there since 1981. Retired and moved in 2018, Our daughter and her family live there now.
This like all the rest of the times this will get blamed on the 100 year flood, but we all know this is BS. The county, VDOT and the developer will and should get the blame for inadequate erosion and sediment control. Look at all the clearing that has been done, some would call it a devastation of the environment, me I just call it a dam shame. My grandkids will still grow up in Cherry Hill but at least they have our lake house on Kerr to retreat too when needed.
