    Question 1998 Tr20 2018 pro Xs 250 setup

Need help I’m about to put on a 2018 pro Xs 250 on my 1998 triton Tr20. I have a 10” manual jack plate, what prop should be good all around and how should I set motor up? Very new to bass boat setups.

Well the hull is only rated at 200 hp so it will be over rated but a 10" will work with a tempest prop probably a 27" if its a 2 stroke.

I have the tempest plus 27 on it set 3” below right now. Haven’t had a chance to run it very much to see how it handles

Finally got it on the water today, 3” below pad with the 27 tempest plus ran 73 without much trimming up at 5400rpm. Tried trimming up but it wasn’t having it. I am going to raise the motor to hopefully get rid of some of the walking.

The older tr like the motor a little high. Can't tell you the numbers I have a hydraulic jackplate. And with the plate being higher I dont have to drive mine hardly at all.
