    Lowest Cost Livescope setup

I currently have Birds and want to add a Livesope unit to the bow. With that I need help finding the lowest cost setup. The head unit does not need mapping or any extra features just enough to run livescope.

Please help me determine the absolute lowest cost livescope bow solution.

    Thanks
    Wes

I have costal maps and no sonar for 300$ more, no cradle and a touch screen that works great, gpsmap 922xs. My vote.

they now have a 922non touch gpsmap. Second vote

i get the thrifty idea but having More processing power and better pixel count are worth it. I like the 9" size to save power for my livewells and other 3 sonar units.

call Bryan at bbg marine. Great prices, and board sponsor, also he remembered me from calling 5 months apart! Good guy and salesman

Gotsum, don't forget you will want/need a bigger or separate battery too.

Not true, plenty of us don't run a separate battery and have zero issues.

I am already running 5 group 27 batteries. First full day tourney I had in the boat I had to jump the motor. Installed another group 27, I Know lots of people say they can run on Group 31 but i had already made the purchase of the boat and did not feel throwing out new group 27 to put in a 31 was the right call at this time. In 4 years when they die I may go 31's or I may go lithium or i may go trade in the boat, who knows.

Thanks for all the feed back I am still trying to make my mind up on the direction i am going to go.

Same here....i run a single AGM 31 starting battery and have ran my 93 plus/LS for 8 hrs. with no issues. I do put the 12" Ultra at dash in sleep mode when not using. As of yesterday, have not had any issues.....When i make runs with the big motor, maybe its puts enough charge back into the battery....

Right. I am running a single Odyssey 31 AGM starting battery, powering a system of 4 Ultra 126s, LiveScope, and a Fusion audio server. No issues at all.

We have a lot of guys running a similar setup with a single battery without issue. What we have found to be the most important is running the correct size wiring to eliminate the issues mentioned above.

I would consider an AGM31 to be a battery upgrade.

I just added it and after talking with Josh at Russell marine I bought the gpsmap 1022 and lvs 32. The 1022 is a few hundred dollars more than the 93 but the screen resolution is higher. Mind you I only use this for livescope, this unit doesn’t support a traditional sonar transducer. I have Humminbird for 2d di an si and 360

Taterferg how do you like your purchase? I'm thinking of doing the exact same thing. I have 4 Live units now but would like the Garmin just for LS nothing else.

Can anyone provide pricing information? I have been thinking about getting one of these but can't seem to figure out what I need. I know I need the livescope transducer but not sure on the unit. I would like at least a 9in screen but I don't care about mapping or any other transducer features. Just Livescope up front. I can use the console unit for traditional sonar, si, and mapping.

Having been stranded at dark on a Sunday in the winter, I now carry one of those portable chargers (Jump-n-Start I think) so if that ever happens again, I have a way to get home. My two starter batteries were run down and the two trolling motor batteries would not turn the big engine over. Plus, having the portable charger on board comes in handy sometimes when you find someone stranded with dead batteries. I would highly recommend the product.
