    Modifying.frogs

Anybody here ever weight or add bells or rattles to their frogs for fishing thick hydrilla mats? If so, how thick do you think is too thick to hope one will come up for your frog? My best patches of grass are getting so thick that I can't get through with a 1 oz tungsten from about thirty feet above. I was slaying them on the frog in the same places last year well into August. Thanks.

Almost always put a glass rattle in the frog and bend the hooks out just a little. Mats that are floating with space under them are the best
