Hey guys, got a question on speed. I have a 2014 ZX200 with 200 SHO it only runs 64 with two people and about 5,500 rpms. Do I need a smaller prop? I have a 25p Yamaha VMAX prop now. I figured these boats run faster? Thanks!

That's about it
No answer for you but I’m going through the same thing with a 2011 zx200. 200 sho with a t2 24 and 61. Loaded with gas and tackle but surprised at how low the speed is on top
Pretty sure you need to be turning that SHO closer to 6k and the newer ZX200's come with 23 pitch props. Try finding a 23 and see what happens. I doubt you'll gain a whole bunch, but 2 or 3 mph maybe. I have an 08 ZX200 with an HPDI and that's about what mine runs with 2 people and loaded. By myself I've seen 67 on a good day. I've tried 5 or 6 different props, different jack plate settings, etc. and haven't been able to get any more out of it.
Thanks guys! Do any of you know if it makes a difference on the style prop? I found a 23 pitch Vmax prop and didn't know if I should get the SHO or not?
The Vmax SHO prop (larger 15 1/8" diameter, etc) is made specifically for the SHO 4 stroke motor.

just fyi, it looks like a 23 pitch is standard on a 2020 ZX200...that's from the website, you'll see that if you start from the build it menu...you may want to give Skeeter a calll
Have a 2019 with the 200 sho,70 mph is about topped out. 23 pitch sho prop. Factory setup on jack plate.

Awesome thanks guys. I’m going to get one this weekend and throw it on and let you know!
Maybe 66mph is max with that load...Croxton can tune prop...move weight to back some...engine height seems right...had a couple ZX200s...of course 300 ECU option after warranty...never got over 68mph ever except after Tech tuner etc...then got 74...pre-SHO days...

That's pretty good. I'm on my second ZX200 with a 200 SHO and I can do 67+ at 6,000 RPM. I'm running a 23p VMAX SHO. You probably should be.
I run a heavy boat and I'm happy.
You can squander a lot of money and gain 2 - 3 mph. It'll never be a 75MPH boat legally.
I run 63 in the winter with a 175 hpdi on a zx 190. Skeeters aren't the fastest but have a stable ride for sure. I have a 23 vmax sho t1 prop if you would be interested. Its 14 1/2 by 23 vented sho. Not sure if they made the 23 in the 15 1/8 configuration. Used it once for 2 hours. New prop.
