    The 1.75” has been replaced by 1.77”. Not sure if you would need to buy a new base, too. Check with Carol at C & O Marine. She may have some old stock.

    Those 2 hundredths might be what gets them stuck! Might be why taking the paint off the bottom 3 inches of my posts makes them come right out.

    I bought one of the 1.77s and it wouldn't even begin to go in the base. My original pedestals would stick. I used a Dewalt flap sander 2" x 80 grit then a 120 grit to relieve and smooth the bases some. I actually got my front one a little too loose.

    That would be true only if your posts are newer than the ones which came with your boat when it was new.
