    Pictures from the SD Prairie

Had to social distance fish by getting out of the Black Hills and out on the prairie. On the water by 5am and fished in the pouring rain for 3 hrs. Left at 10:30. Caught 11 bass and some bluegills. Took some bluegills and 2 bass home for Mom. This little lake is a 20 minute drive from my house on the interstate. I really need to fish it more often.

Always enjoy your pics and posts Roy. The scenery, the boat, all of it!! Very nice shots sir. I could take a topwater along that cattail line and be happy for the rest of my life!

Wow, what a cool place to fish. That's pretty water and that open land is something else. Looks like peace and quiet at it's finest. Thanks for sharing the great pictures.

Thanks guys. I have missed posting pics on here. I just got a new waterproof Fuji camera so I hope to get a few more taken this summer. They help me also with winter doldrums and missing open water.

I had bigger boat fever a long time ago. Fought it for a couple of years. One of the smartest things I ever did was to stick with this gem, for a whole bunch of reasons.

With a 23 Tempest, 62 tops at 5000 ft. Down on the river at 1700 ft with a 25 Tempest I saw 60 with a 250 lb partner and a full well with 2 limits in it. I weigh 220.

ok. Thanks. I have a 25P trophy plus and my boat would run 62 or 63 but after I installed my Solix 12 that sticks out and my all aboard ladder that drags the water a little it will do about 60.

We will be in the black hills in a couple of weeks. I think if I lived there I’d have to be on that big lake catching smallie and walleye!

I try to get to Oahe at least once a year. Now that I have a new, awesome job I will have more time for those longer trips. You must be coming up for the rally......

We're having a heatwave right now, but that morning it was cool and rainy. I tried to just enjoy it in my teeshirt, but I actually got cold and had to break out the rain gear!

I'm gonna do that next time. I stuck with spinner-bait/senko combo for this trip. This little dam should be perfect for the Spro frog!
