The first thing is you will need to use the 25 renegade as a paper weight as its too small for this engine, you will most likely need a 25 RX4 or a 26 Raker when the humidity drops, if you even have that in Canada. That motor will like 5800 RPM Max.

When you start it, turn the key to start, no choke, no fuss, no smoke, just turn the key and it will run.

Just keep raising the plate, depending on which gear case you have it will like engine height.

So if you were to suggest one or the other would you go withe the raker ? We really don’t have the support system up here to go and try out props I’m going to have to try to borrow one from someone to try out first was wondering on the oil if 100 isn’t available would the 50 work in a pinch or just stick with the 100 one last ? Is there a place on the lower unit to find out which gear case i have ?

With the Stratos 201 Pro XL the 26 Raker will be the fastest top end speed if that's what you want.
If all out top end speed is not your thing then go with the 25 RX4, this is almost as fast, two or three MPH slower but it is a good all around prop.
If you carry a boat load of tackle and load your boat heavy then you could drop back to a 24 Raker.

You can run 50 or 100 and can swap back an forth as needed, the HO engines do not have the option to change the oil setting.

Just take a picture of the gear case from the side and post it here, we should be able to tell you which one you have.

If your still around on the venom I had to use this plastic weed ring in behind the prop it seemed to really help on hole shot is that still a thing or wouldn’t be needed on this newer motor ?

As I posted, its your decision based on how you load your boat and what you want to do.

Me, I'm a straight line as fast as I can go with nothing in the boat so I would sacrifice a few seconds on the hole shot to get the Max top end, my choice would be the 26 Raker.

If that is not you then go with the 25 RX4.

If you carry a lot of tackle and always have a second person in the boat then go with the 24 Raker.
