    Bit the bullet

I finally bit the bullet and bought a remote drain plug. It was a lot of money but I felt money well spent. So tired of crawling under the transom to put the plug in.

What model boat did you install it in?

I won't get it until Tuesday. Going into a 1999 Stratos 295 PE.

Thumbs up on the sealer. Can't wait to get it installed.

Got it installed and finally tested yesterday. Works like a charm! So happy I don't have to cereal under the boat any more. It fit like a glove. Put the actuator below the two live well actuators.

I just leave my drain plug in all the time. Occasionally I get some water in the bilge if I'm fishing in the rain or the livewell overflows when I take off and I pump it out. Is your boat taking on alot of water?
