When catching panfish, lure variety and color are nice but not necessary

Fish with a buddy yesterday and between us we caught over 100 fish - crappie, sunfish, a few perch and small bass. He only used a red/chartreuse Crappie Magnet and me a variety of soft plastics on light jigs and ul rods. We fished from 7:45 - 1 pm and caught fish every hour and in different depths. The same for another lake except between us we boated nearly 200 fish from 8:30 - 2pm - same lures.

That’s been my experience most days. When they’re biting color doesn’t usually seem to matter much

Bait profile is more important than color.
