    Trying to help friend set up boat

    He has a Javelin Renegade 20 with a new to him 225 etec ho. Put his prop on from his old motor (200 fight) think it was a 25p 4 blade Renegade and was constantly blowing out no matter what height set on manual jackplate. Tried my 26p Raker 2 from my motor and had a decent hole shot with a minor blow out but could probably fix it with another pvs plug or adjusting the motor height only got to 5300 rpm WOT. Thinking he should get a 25p Raker or a 25 pitch trophy. Anyone have any other advice or suggestions?

    Not sure if this helps, but my last boat I had a 4 blade Renegade on Johnson Ficht motor...worked great. This prop had a plastic blowout ring. Anyway, I removed the ring once to try and it was terrible...could not get on top.

    It blows out bad if you don't have the weed ring on it.
