Chartselect maps are essentially individual waters of what goes on the Lakemaster cards and you can only purchase ChartSelect maps online. When you buy a ChartSelect map, you can download any updates for a year and you can also download and view the maps on a mobile device through the FishSmart app.
You can buy just LSC in ChartSelect. It's an HD map, so the contours should be pretty accurate. As to whether or not it shows the weed beds you are looking for I don't know but maps usually specify the characteristics of an area (weed, rock, sand, boulders). Maybe post your question in the Michigan forum to see if you can get more specific answers for what's on the LSC map.
