    Using a helix 7 G3 and helix 10 g1?

Hey guys, new to the forum and to nice electronics. My old boat had a piranha 4 max DI for reference lol. Any ways I picked up a helix 10 si gen 1, and a helix 7 G3n. Before I just install them and call it a day, I want to make sure there’s not a better way to hook up both units. Can I link the two together seeing as they are different Gen’s? Also will mounting the transducers side by side cause any issues? Any other suggestions, or tips is appreciated! Thanks!

The first generation Helix 10's are Networkable, the G3N Helix 7 is Networkable. Those will share data in a limited manner since the generations are so far apart.
Cannot share CHIRP sonar to the Helix 10.
Cannot share the MEGA Imaging frequency to the Helix 10
Cannot share HW CHIRP to the Helix 10.
Cannot share mapping with any Helix units.

Can share waypoints, temp sensors, GPS and Ethernet accessories.

The SI unit's Side Imaging pulses can be blocked by another transducer next to it. SI "sees" to the sides.

If you must have them on the transom, put them on opposite sides of the outboard.
