    6xd DT20 rod

Looking to have a deep crank rod built. 7’6”-8’
Any ideas/opinions on good blank to start with. Has someone built one that they love??
It would be for dt20’s and 6xd and an occasional dd22

Our highest end crankbait rod blank, made in the USA, for the 6XD for would be the JDGCB70H-CG or JDGCB710H-CG - can honestly say there's not another crankbait blank like it. Graphite butt with S-Glass tip.

Lot of people love our Revelation CB series, all graphite, great performance at a great price. Go with a Heavy, REVCB70H OR REVCB76H

I just built a 710 H Judge for a customer for exactly what you stated and he's very happy with it.

Wow... That's a lot compared to $66... I cant imagine it being 3 times better.

    Mike,

It is difficult to say X times better. Take a look at the cost of a NRX rod. Retail is around $500 most guys fishing with $100 rod will say can it be 5 times better. Answer is no. But is it better? Yes. Is it the best? I would say one of them best. So to me you can't base price difference on performance difference. Also take your bullet boat, I don't know price on them but going to guess it would be worth around 20k, 20000 times better than a jon boat? Yes I know that is an extreme comparison and the bullet is a lot better than a jon boat but how to you say 20000 times better?

I am currently in the process of building a Judge 710MH. I don't have a rodgeeks 7.9"MH to compare I do have the 7'11"XXH for 10xd and a rigs. I do think the Judge line is better than the rodgeeks S Glass. The big thing would be weight. Where the Judge is graphite and glass composite it cuts down on weight. And the Judge seems a little more sensitive, all be it that might not be a fair comparison. Now would both rods cast a 6xd well? Absolutely.

Well... I'd rather have two 25 year old girls than one 50 year old..

The Rod Geeks SG79HM is a favorite of mine but I'll always cut them to 7'3" at the longest, usually keep them at 7'. The full 7'9" is just too heavy (almost 4.5oz) for my liking and it's also difficult to balance without adding even more weight (unless you go with some crazy long handle).
